Rated 5 out of 5Â by Bud327 Cross-country Rack
This is a great rack! I used it to drive two bicycles from NC to MT, then one bicycle on a return trip. Albeit I took the wheels off the bikes for the length of the journey, the rack held stable the entire drive, both ways. Highly recommended for ease of daily use as well.
It is interesting the two main screws for the bike arms are tiny plastic ones, but they have worked fine so far.

This bike rack is robust and easy to assemble and use. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because my ladies bike wouldn't fit on it as only bikes with a cross bar seem to fit.
Top marks for safety and quality though.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by James K Another superb rack
Eight years ago I purchased the Bones RS rack and fell in love with it. I was so disappointed when I purchased a new car last fall and the old rack would not fit on it. This summer I did some research and found that the Bones 3-Bike rack would fit my new car. It was so lightweight compared to the RS rack, I was concerned. However, it is amazing also and I already love it. It was fairly easy to install (maybe not quite as easy as the RS but pretty close) and it is solid once it is on. I have not yet placed 3 bikes on it at the same time, but it appears as though this will not be a problem. This company just knows how to make exceptional products.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by UnrulyCanuck Good solid rack; arm placement could be an issue
I purchased the Saris Bones 3 from an independent dealer in town, and so far I've been
impressed. The installation was pretty easy and it seems to be much more sturdy than my
previous rack, the Thule 910xt Passage. I like the fact that the legs are much wider
when sitting on the bumper, so there is better weight distribution and making it less
likely that the weight of the bikes will warp the shape of the bumper (something that
the Thule rack did on my Nissan Sentra).
One thing that I was unsure of at first was the fit of the two top arms. In many
videos, the top arms are placed as close to the end of the top of the trunk door as
possible. For my 2009 Nissan Sentra, this is not possible because the arms would extend
out halfway beyond the trunk door and onto the rear windshield. Also, if I installed it
this way, the bottom feet would be in so much that I couldn't easily close the trunk
door. I tried numerous positioning of the top and bottom legs to adapt, but this was
not possible. The best fit for me was to drop the top legs down one notch so that the
top arms are a little less than half way down the top of the trunk. With the 6
adjustment straps tight though, the rack isn't going anywhere. After installation, I
was anxious to take it out for a test drive, so I mounted my bike and drove out on
various road conditions to see how it performed. I would run over bumps on purpose. The
bike didn't move and the rack did not shift at all.

Bought a second Bones rack after the first one was stolen from my car. So happy to have this rack. Great design, easy to use, never any issues. We use it all the time.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Oliviasdad Easy to fit and strong
Bought one this week for my family and was impressed as it took two heavy English pashleys and one kids lightweight all nicely strapped on with barely a rattle ,the smaller bikes went in the boot.
The car is a Hyundi Tuscan and the racks soft rubber feet left no scuffs or scratches and the straps felt really secure. We did need the store manager at lake leisure in daventry to set it up (my assistance wasn't that helpful) . Big thanks to Lake Leisure Bikes for making the choice and setting us up for a fantastic weekend peddling around Warwickshire.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by teep Great product for long road trips
A few months before purchase, we borrowed the 2-bike model from a friend for a 1000 mile (1600 km) trip to hold a single bike. During that vacation we added a bike. The return trip had me nervous since the 2-bike model has just 3 anchor points and the fully-loaded rack wobbled considerably. With that in mind, we ordered the 3-bike model for ourselves. The additional anchor point dramatically cuts down on the motion of the rack on the interstate and holds up on windy country roads.
Car is a Mazda 3 sedan.
