"I recently bought a Brompton through the Cycle to Work scheme. I was really eager to buy the bike from an independent bike store however was sadly disappointed by the level of stock that these seemed to offer. Reluctantly I walked into the CycleSurgery store in Victoria, London and was met with some of the best customer service I have ever received. Almost without exception I was approached by the friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff members who all made the experience of choosing a bike and learning about the different credentials utterly enjoyable.

In particular, (and forgive me if I have their names down wrongly) but Ifraca was a particularly forthcoming salesgirl who helped me process my order and Mark (who I believe was an assistant manager) was unbelievably patient and professional when I came in to collect my Brompton. Mark knew who I was before I even told why I had come and then he seemed in no hurry at all to explain how to care for and construct my bike.

All in all a brilliant display of service and I hope that this can be fed back to the staff.

"I have been repeatedly impressed by your excellent customer service, most recently twice at the Victoria store.

I have been in with faults with my new bike and, both times, the staff have been helpful, prompt and informative dealing with my issue in a courteous and efficient way. This is despite my bike being relatively cheap and myself not necessarily being a 'high value customer'.

As I said, despite hearing great things about the customer service at Cycle Surgery generally, I have been impressed by the way I have been treated at the Victoria store; they are a credit to your chain."

"I just wanted to bring to your attention the truly excellent service that I've received in the store over the last couple of days.

Last week I noticed a noise from the rear of my Cube road bike, purchased from Cycle Surgery 2 months ago. I brought it to the store and I have to say the service couldn't have been better and especially that of your mechanic Darek. Over 2 days he worked to track down the fault (it seems the spokes needed re tensioning) and took the time to keep me updated throughout, superb customer service from someone who clearly knows his stuff and has a passion for bikes.

I live in SE London and had cycled to Richmond to watch the Mens Olympic road race; and was planning to watch the end of the race with friends in East London. Somewhere around Battersea, a spoke popped on my rear wheel and I limped into town desperately searching for a cycle shop. I could see a humiliating train journey home looming! Two of your competitors said they couldn't help, they were too busy. I remembered your shop in Victoria and got there feeling the wheel get more and more buckled. Thankfully, Jimmy, Andy and Danny sorted the whole thing replacing my wheel adjusting everything and allowing me to carry on and have a great day. I didn't catch the name of the guy helping me, he was Australian and had fair hair, but the information he provided was exactly what I needed. So often bike shops are a hotbed of tech snobbery and one-upmanship, but in your store the staff are respectful when applying their ample knowledge to customers. I've been in a few times now and most times walk out having purchased something after receiving good product advice. I really appreciate having such a great store so close to my work, please pass my comments on to the team there."

"I know people can moan about service in cycle shops but I really want to say that I am impressed with the service I receive at your store. Last week my rear mudguard was rattling on my Pashley Poppy pink bicycle. I brought it into your store and Jimmy, your staff member was really helpful. He arranged for the mechanic to see the bicycle. He kept me up to date with the progress of the repair, explained that it needed a part from Pashley. Today I receive a phone call from Jimmy to say that the part has arrived and that I could come in today for the bicycle to receive that repair.

When I first bought my Pashley (through the employer's Ride to Work) scheme, I had to buy the bicycle from another bike shop. It kept getting punctures and when I visited the bike shop they would only repair the inner tube. The amount I was meant to save on not using public transport was instead being used for a puncture repair fund. In January I visited your store and they replaced both tyres and I haven't had a puncture since.

Jimmy and the rest of your store staff are really helpful which makes a change in this world. Throughout the repair he has provided excellent customer service and treated me like a human rather than another number.

I always recommend your store to my colleagues and friends.

In April I first came into the store to look for a bike to purchase on the Cycle to Work scheme and little did I know I would be so wonderfully looked after.

Jimmy was the first member of staff I worked with, and to be honest I know ask for him every time I come into the store, he has gone above and beyond in the advice and time he has given. I have no doubt that his service has what has continued to bring me back to the store, my bank balance is suffering but my bike is great!

"Hi guys

Apologies as I wanted to send this a few weeks back. I wanted to say a massive thanks for all your help and extra efforts in what turned out to be a nightmare in getting my bike ready for the Nightrider 2011 charity event. With the parts not turning up from chain reaction I was left running around London on the day of the event picking up all the parts needed. Not getting them to you guys till 3:30pm on that Saturday due to all the obstacles that were being thrown in my way. Closed underground lines, trooping the colour and demonstrations. Bearing in mind the event kicked off at 12 midnight that same day you guys pulled out all the stops and as far as I'm concerned went beyond the call of duty to get the bike ready for me for 6pm. Great work and credit well deserved!

That day for me was definitely a big test of character and although I didn't get the rest I wanted during that day and was quite stressed by it all you guys certainly kept the stress to a manageable level for me and I went on to complete the 65.4 miles in 4 hrs 27 mins.

Again a massive thanks to you guys!! You have a very dedicated and knowledgeable team there at Victoria.

Just a quick email to say thanks again for the fantastic service I've received at your store recently.

Bought a new Sirrus Elite at the end of May - completely new to spending serious money on a bike but I was given helpful and informative advice at every step. Since then (picking up the bike, returning for its initial service) the staff have been continuously brilliant - including the several occasions when I've rushed into the store with about 5 minutes until closing time.

"On both visits to your store recently, I have been hugely impressed by the service I received - and the huge improvement since I last visited about 6 months ago. The shop was well staffed. I was asked if I wanted help. Staff seemed like they actually wanted to help me, and keenly asked me questions in respectful, plain language to help me figure out what I needed. The tool wasn't in stock, but this didn't stop them from giving me really helpful and thorough advice. It was such a surprise - like I was kind of gobsmacked by how helpful your staff were.
