RECYCLE MY INNER TUBES

Cycle Surgery is now an official tube drop-off point.

All of our cycle stores will be collecting any old inner tubes and sending them to Cycle of Good offices.

Cycle of Good create quality hand-crafted goods using recycled materials (like your old bicycle inner tubes by training tailors in the world’s poorest places to help them earn a decent living. All money made by Cycle of Good pays for childcare and non-profit social enterprise in Malawi.

How does it work?

Simply pop into one of our stores with your old tubes to participate. Cycle of Good accept all tubes regardless of size or shape. Skinny tubes from road bikes, chunky tubes from mountain bikes and tubes from tiny tots’ bikes - they love them all!

Please avoid tyres covered in slime as this makes it difficult for the tailors to work with. Tubes with puncture patches are great too, in fact they add character so the more patches the merrier.

Tubes are then sent to Cycle of Good, who ship these to Malawi. You can find out more below.

Why do we do this?

As a business, it is a good initiative to recycle, this is one of the best ways to have a positive impact on the world in which we all live. By recycling we avoid the need to consume our national resources and this helps to conserve important raw materials and protects natural environments for the future.
