It is important to keep an eye on the chain as a dirty and worn chain can ruin other, more expensive parts of the drivetrain. Cleaning the chain is quite simple through the use of an enclosed chain tool such as a Muc-Off Chain Doc. This will coat the chain in degreaser and prevent residue dirt from splashing onto other areas of the bike. Once the degreaser has done its job and loosened the grime, use a brush or a sponge to wipe away the dirt and dry with a clean rag. Once left to dry thoroughly, apply Muc-Off Wet Lube.
