Introducing the all new Edge 1030, Garmin’s most connected device yet

Bigger, better and with more connectivity than ever before - the 1030 is Garmin's most advanced cycle computer yet

What's new?

How people ride, where they want to ride and how quickly they want to be connected is constantly changing, getting faster and more epic, pushing Garmin to become innovative in the ways they have kept up. The Edge 1030 is the pinnacle in Garmin’s cycling range of GPS computers, bringing a closer connection between ride and rider.

So, what features make the new Garmin Edge 1030 so pioneering?

A natural development from Garmin’s well-loved round trip routing feature, the Edge 1030 now analyses billions of miles of ride data from the Garmin Connect™ online fitness community to find the best route for you. Working on both on-road and off-road routes, Treadline™ will take into consideration the type of route you want to ride, how far you want to go and take you on the course most traveled by other cyclists.

Another development from the Edge 1030’s predecessor is rider-to-rider messaging, allowing you to send prewritten messages to other Garmin users. Let your riding buddies know you’re out on the road or if your group has split up, tell those at the back what way you’ve taken. The Edge 1030 will also allow Android users to send prewritten replies to texts or missed calls using smart notifications.

Supporting the visuals of this all new model jampacked full of technology is Garmin’s most impressive touchscreen display to date. Measuring in at 3.5”, maps become easier to navigate whilst on the road and swapping between performance screens can be done quickly and simply.

A large, 3.5" colour display makes following maps a breeze

For those training with a coach for a specific event, race or just to increase their fitness, the TrainingPeaks app allows the workouts they set to be directly sent to your Edge device. This means your training has another level of connection with your coach, even when you’re not with them.

The Edge 1030 allows you to be tracked, and now, with the GroupTrack feature, you can track groups of up to 50 riders. This is one of the Garmin’s most connective features yet and brings the cycling community closer together than ever before.

Equipped with an all new mounting system that allows for the in-ride integration of the Garmin’s new charge pack. The new Edge 1030 alone comes with a ride time of up to 20 hours of battery life (dependant on usage), however, with the all new the charge pack, an additional 20 hours can be added on the overall ride time. This means those epic adventures and overnight stays can be ridden without worrying about running out of charge.

Incident detection can manually or automatically send your location to your emergency contacts in the event of an incident.
