“The wider lens of the Jawbreaker gives a great field of vision and it goes without saying that when you are wearing Oakley that it’s completely distortion-free thanks to the High Definition Optics. These improvements show that cyclists have been key to the Jawbreaker’s development. For example, the frame is no longer obscuring your vision when you’re in the drops, much like the Oakley Radarlock XL frames which have an extended nose piece and larger lens (this lifted the frame to give more vision through the upper portion of the lens). Oakley have worked hard to achieve an optimum fit too. With the three-point fit on the Jawbreakers they are comfortable and stay anchored firmly onto your face.
“The Prizm Road Lens is also great for our changeable weather. On an overcast day when most people would be reaching for a low light lens or a transition lens, the Prizm Road Lens still performs very well under dark clouds and heavy rain.
“The racing went as expected: the pace was high from the start with a number of attacks. Even with Mark Cavendish’s signature Oakleys on, I couldn’t quite close the gap to the two just ahead of me in the final sprint and finished in 3rd.”
