HOW TO KEEP YOUR BIKE IN TIP TOP CONDITION
There is nothing worse than looking forward to a ride, getting out on your bike and then having to catch the train home due to a mechanical failure. Regular bike maintenance will go a long way to ensuring your bike won’t let you down and will keep you rolling for longer, safely and at optimum performance. Here at Cycle Surgery we offer a range of bike servicing options from basic check overs through to complete bike strip downs as well as specialist tuning services and general repairs.
CYTECH CERTIFIED MECHANICS
Rest assured that your beloved two wheeled steed is in safe hands and will be looked after by our skilled bike workshop mechanics who are Cytech Certified. Cytech is a world renowned bike technician training and accreditation scheme providing high class certification in a variety of bike mechanic skills from basic servicing through to fitting the very best in cycling technology.
HOW OFTEN TO SERVICE YOUR BIKE
Before you set off on any ride it’s best to give your bike a quick check over to make sure there aren’t any loose parts, frayed cables or splits in the tyres and that your gears and brakes are working well. You should also get your bike professionally serviced periodically to make sure everything is working efficiently and that there are no signs of breakages that may ruin future rides.
We are often asked how often a bike should be serviced and this generally comes down to how often, how far and how aggressively you are riding. As a general rule of thumb though, we would recommend a full service at least once a year for a standard level of riding or our Ultimate Advantage total strip down bike service if you are putting lots of miles in.
