Designed for streetwise urban cyclists and commuters, Brompton Black edition M6R T-post with Dynamo 2017 features a number of key components anodised in black rather than silver, for a smooth stealth look.
Offering a more upright riding position and excellent control, this M6L Black Edition has the M shaped handlebars that have been used on Brompton’s from the beginning. Also equipped with the 6 Speed BWR (Brompton Wide Range) gears, means this multi-gear system is the right choice for touring or riding hilly areas.
Perfect for carrying onto trains and buses, the frame and handlebars fold down into a small package that's only a little larger than its wheels. Once folded the bike has no protrusions or loose parts, and will carry like a small suitcase. Its chain and gears are kept away from clothing and luggage when folded and lights and cables are kept out of harms way. With only 5000 units made, the Black edition is sure to turn a few heads out on the streets.
Offering a very reliable lighting solution, the specifically adapted Brompton Dynamo Hub by Shimano keeps you visible and helps you to see the road ahead of you. Its Busch & Muller Halogen front lamp and a stand light function at the rear is built to last and the dynamohub powers the front and rear lights. Brompton mudguards, rack & pump also come with the M6R Black Edition meaning you are equipped for every eventuality, whilst on the road.
Excellent frame rigidity and a telescopic seatpost ensure that the energy you put in is efficiently converted into a responsive, quick ride. In all, it adds up to a quality ride.

The first Brompton bike was built in 1975 from the South Kensington bedroom of designer Andrew Ritchie.
His initial prototypes were crude, but through a relentless refining process Ritchie hit upon a cycle that would go on to become the gold standard of folding bikes.
In recent years, the company has seen rapid expansion worldwide, and now has stores in cities including London, Amsterdam, Beijing, Tokyo and Barcelona.
But not content to rest on their laurels, Brompton has a large team of in-house designers and engineers who are constantly developing new accessories and improving upon the design of the bike itself.
Every Brompton is handmade in their London factory by skilled craftsman who have undergone an intensive 18-month training program, and who each have a unique signature which they stamp on the parts of the bike they work on.
This culture of accountability is indicative of Brompton’s commitment to quality, and helps to ensure that every one of their bikes is built to the highest standard.
