Each Brompton is handmade in London with every model folding down into a small package only a little larger than its wheels. You can transform your bike into a neatly folded, easily carried package within a few seconds and its small size means that it is welcomed on most public transport (even during peak times). Its clever folding design ensures that mucky parts are kept neatly out of the way of clothing and luggage. The bike can be picked up using the grip on the saddle or towed along effortlessly using the handlebars. When folded, it's small enough to take inside, reducing the chance of it getting stolen if left locked up on the street.
The P6R is equipped with Brompton’s P-type handlebar, giving the rider the flexibility of multiple grip options when riding. Holding the lower section of the grip gives a sporty nimble ride as the upper section offers an upright relaxed ride. Equipped with 6 Speed gears, this Brompton setup is the right choice for longer rides with more challenging hilly areas.
Finished with a best selling leather Brooks B17 Saddle, this Brompton offers the utmost comfort and style.

The first Brompton bike was built in 1975 from the South Kensington bedroom of designer Andrew Ritchie.
His initial prototypes were crude, but through a relentless refining process Ritchie hit upon a cycle that would go on to become the gold standard of folding bikes.
In recent years, the company has seen rapid expansion worldwide, and now has stores in cities including London, Amsterdam, Beijing, Tokyo and Barcelona.
But not content to rest on their laurels, Brompton has a large team of in-house designers and engineers who are constantly developing new accessories and improving upon the design of the bike itself.
Every Brompton is handmade in their London factory by skilled craftsman who have undergone an intensive 18-month training program, and who each have a unique signature which they stamp on the parts of the bike they work on.
This culture of accountability is indicative of Brompton’s commitment to quality, and helps to ensure that every one of their bikes is built to the highest standard.
