A high-performance carbon hardtail with all the advantages of the bigger 29in wheels but as agile as a 26in bike. Through Active Brake Cooling, a wing-like support stay for the brake, airflow is directed towards the brake disc. The GTC carbon frame is produced using the Twin Mold Monocoque Technology. The oversized tube diameters of the head tube and the PressFit bottom bracket guarantee optimum lateral stiffness. The post mount rear brake saves weight. Optimum strength to weight value results from the tapered head tube with integrated headset. Shimano SLX and XT 3x10 components are very reliable. The Sun Ringlé Radium 29 wheelset is lightweight and durable. The 100mm Manitou Marvel 29 TS Air suspension fork has adjustable damping and a remote lockout. Test winner MountainBIKE 07/12: “CUBE offers with the Reaction GTC 29 not only an enticing 29er ... the package rocks out there in the woods. The rider is sitting in the bike, a sporty but not too stretched out position. Precise and balanced, the Reaction cuts through the trails .. the low front delivers an attacking feeling for the downhill. The result: affordable and damn good!“
