Show your bike some TLC with our full range of service options

Bikes are machines. Awesome machines. And they deserve proper care and attention. Regular servicing will help to keep them operating smoothly and reduce wear and tear. This can save you money in the long run and avoid big repair bills from prematurely worn out components.

How often should I have my bike serviced?

"How often you should service a bike depends entirely on how often you ride. For someone that only rides a couple of times a week in the summer months, a General Service twice annually should be sufficient. If you ride all year round, in all types of conditions, then servicing four times a year will help maintain the bike in tip-top condition”

Mechanic profile

Andrew Brown - Workshop Manager, Cycle Surgery London Stores

"I joined the industry just over 6 years ago when I was looking to try something new.

I started at the bottom as a bike builder and was lucky enough to work for a very skilled mechanic who gave me an excellent grounding in how a commercial workshop should work."

Best loved bike:

"Like many cyclists I have quite a few bikes, and I love them all.  If I had to pick one it would have to be my Dedacciai Zero Replica, which I custom built with a Campagnolo Chorus groupset."

Favourite place to ride:

"I’m lucky enough to live 20 minutes ride from the Kent hills.  There are so many routes (and pubs) I can’t imaging ever getting bored. The highlight is always riding down the south slope of the North Downs and seeing the countryside open up in front of you."

Must-haves for any bike ride:

"Originally I only carried CO2 inflator on longer weekend rides but they make dealing with punctures so quick and painless I never go anywhere without them now. And I always, always carry two tubes".
